LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Kenneth Walker, 36, of Jamestown, was charged with unsafe lane change, driving while intoxicated, and BAC of 0.08% or more. Officers stopped a vehicle at 7:38 p.m. Sunday on East Fairmount Avenue for allegedly making an unsafe lane change. A check found that Walker had a previous DWI conviction more than 10 years ago as well as a pending DWI arrest from October 2019. Walker is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ POMFRET — Paul R. Samuelson, 30, of Fredonia, was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies were called to a residence Thursday in the town of Pomfret for a reported assault. An investigation found that Samuelson allegedly struck another person numerous times, causing serious injuries. Additionally, Samuelson allegedly applied pressure to the victims neck causing injury as well as prevented their ability to contact 911 for emergency assistance. Samuelson was taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
