¯ MAYVILLE — Cody A. Wood, 21, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies conducted a street check Friday at 11:35 p.m. on a suspicious person on Route 394 in Mayville. An investigation found that Wood was in possession of a controlled substance, more than 25 grams of marijuana and narcotics-related paraphernalia. He was processed and released with tickets to appear in Chautauqua Town Court later.
¯ GERRY — Christopher J. Light, 39, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday at 12:30 a.m. on Route 60 in the town of Gerry for a traffic violation. A passenger in the vehicle was found to have a no-contact order of protection against Light. The female was removed and Light was released with tickets to appear in Gerry Town Court later.
