¯ William T. Bergeron, 33, was charged with failure to register/change of address. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division received a tip on Nov. 12 that a registered sex offender failed to report his new address within 10 calendar days. Investigators determined that Bergeron was no longer living at his last reported address and failed to report his move to the New York State Sex Offender Registry, which is a requirement under his sex offender status. It was also learned that Bergeron was convicted of failing to register earlier this year which makes this new charge a class D felony. Bergeron was located by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to Chautauqua County for centralized arraignment.
