ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Jomarie L. Nagel, no age or address listed, was charged with driving while intoxicated, felony DWI, failure to signal and driver obstruction. Officers stopped a vehicle Saturday at 2:18 a.m. on West Everett and South Dow streets in the village of Falconer. An investigation found that Nagel was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Nagel is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ Pairireyon J. Logan, no age or address listed, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers stopped a vehicle Sunday at 12:39 a.m. on Fairmount Avenue. Logan was reportedly found in possession of a handgun without a permit along with several high-capacity magazines with the firearm and marijuana. Logan was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Brenda C. Phillips, 62, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and unsafe backing. Officers responded Monday at 6:22 p.m. to Rite Aid, 50 S. Main St., for a crash and were told that the driver of one of the vehicles had fled into the store. Phillips reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and was taken to Jamestown City Jail. She was held for arraignment.

¯ Frank J. Bindics, 43, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense and second-degree harassment. Officers responded Monday at 3:22 p.m. to a Genesee Street residence for a reported harassment. It was learned that Bindics had allegedly threatened to harm a female victim and was in violation of an order of protection. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ GERRY — Donna Shaw, 50, of Liberty, Texas, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Shaw was stopped Saturday on Route 60 in Gerry for a traffic violation and was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests. Shaw refused to provide a breath sample and was transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ HANOVER — Taylor N. Seneca, 23, of Irving was charged with driving while intoxicated. Seneca was stopped Saturday at 4:40 a.m. on Routes 5 and 20 in Hanover and was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests. A breath sample showed her BAC to be 0.12%, and she was released with an appearance ticket.

¯ SHERIDAN — Jose Carabello-Velez, 53, of Dunkirk was charged with driving while intoxicated. Carabello-Velez was stopped after traveling 82 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 39 in Sheridan. During the interview with Carabello-Velez, troopers noted obvious signs of impairment as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was transported to police barracks where he provided a breath sample of 0.13%. He was released with an appearance ticket.
