JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Israel Aponte Camacho, 29, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Around 6:14 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to 305 East Fifth St. for a report of a disorderly person. An investigation by officers determined that Aponte Camacho had allegedly shoved a male victim on a staircase at the address. Aponte Camacho was taken into custody by officers before he began to pull away from them. Officers said Aponte Camacho continued to fight with them before being transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was being held pending arraignment.

¯ Justin A. Conklin, 20, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, criminal obstruction of breathing and/or blood circulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. At 7:10 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to a Baker Street residence for a reported physical-domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and Conklin. An investigation learned that Conklin allegedly restrained the victim and would not allow them to leave. Conklin also reportedly applied pressure to the victim’s throat, causing breathing issues, and grabbed a phone from the victim who was attempting to call 911. Further investigation found that the victim had a valid order of protection against Conklin to refrain from offensive contact. Conklin was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Benjamin L. Eckstrom, 25, of Sugar Grove, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18% or greater and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies were called June 29 at 2:14 a.m. to a vehicle in the ditch on Chautauqua Stedman Road in the town of Chautauqua. An investigation found that Eckstrom was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and issued appearance tickets to be in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.

¯ SHERMAN — Maddison J. Howard, 22, of Jamestown was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18% or greater. Deputies were called Saturday at 12:31 a.m. to Waits Corners Road in the town of Sherman for a property damage crash. An investigation determined that Howard was reportedly intoxicated. Howard was released with tickets to appear in Sherman Town Court later.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — Timothy L. Sawyer, 27, of Ripley was charged with driving while intoxicated. Deputies were called Sunday at 3:36 a.m. to a crash on Canterbury Drive in French Creek. An investigation found that Sawyer was intoxicated. He was reportedly refused a breath test and was held at Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in French Creek Town Court later to answer the charges.
