¯ KENNEDY — Austin Muntz, 22, of Kennedy was charged Friday with second-degree criminal contempt. New York state troopers and Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies responded to Route 62 and Hartson Road in Kennedy for a report of a woman being chased through a field. Investigation revealed Muntz and the woman got into an argument and the woman fled from Muntz’s vehicle as she feared for her safety. Muntz was charged after officers confirming there was a stay-away order directing he avoid all contact with the victim. Muntz was processed at the State Police at Jamestown barracks and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPT.

¯ Zachery W. Schwartz, 24, of Westfield was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operation at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday after a car accident on Route 5 near Temple Road. Deputies report responding to a reported accident to find the driver of a motor vehicle who then tried to give deputies a false name. Deputies identified the driver as Schwartz. He was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries and will be in Dunkirk Town Court later.
