Woman Held After Police Find Children Living In Filth
A Jamestown woman was jailed after police found two children living in filth inside a city residence.
Taken into custody on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child was 27-year-old Crystal L. Depew. Police were called Monday at 12:40 a.m. to check the welfare of the children, ages 2 and 4, living inside a Price Street home.
“Officers found the children living in filth, poor hygiene and without food and water,” Jamestown police said Monday in a press release.
Child Protective Services was called to the home to take custody of the children.
Depew was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.
