JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Shawn M. Battle, 27, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle Monday at 11:20 p.m. on Baker Street for a traffic violation. It was learned Battle was driving with a suspended license. He was taken into custody, and during a search he was allegedly found in possession of heroin and methamphetamine mixed with Fentanyl. Both substances weighed less than a gram. Battle was held for arraignment.

¯ Cassidy M. Esslinger, 35, of Sugar Grove, Pa., was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. Officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed Monday around 10 p.m. on Washington Street. Officers observed open alcoholic beverages in the vehicle. She was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

¯ Jessica A. Dibble, 39, of Westfield was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, uninspected motor vehicle and no/inadequate head lamps. Officers observed a vehicle driving with no head lamps Monday around 4 a.m. on East Second Street. Dibble was administered several field sobriety tests, which she allegedly failed. Dibble was released with appearance tickets.

¯ FREWSBURG — Mark D. Boardman, 49, of Frewsburg was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies responded Tuesday to a call on West Main Street in Frewsburg. It was later determined that Boardman harassed a victim and broke her glasses. He was issued an appearance tickets to answer the charges in Carroll Town Court at a later date.

¯ GERRY — Joshua J. Burke, 30, of Stockton was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Deputies were called to an incident on Old Chautauqua Road in Gerry. Burke was observed operating a vehicle through a mobile home park. An investigation found that Burke was allegedly impaired by drugs. He was taken into custody and released with tickets to appear in Gerry Town Court at a later date.

¯ PORTLAND — Deputies along with firefighters from Portland, Brocton and Westfield were called Monday at 8:50 p.m. to Route 20 and Felton Road for a tractor-trailer on its side. It was learned that the driver, Aydrus. B. Mohamed, 37, of Missouri was westbound on Route 20 when he lost control, went into a ditch and struck two telephone poles. The semi came to rest on its side. Mohamed was taken to the hospital to be checked. Route 20 was closed for several hours due to the crash.

¯ WESTFIELD — Chana Beckes, 41, of North East, Pa., was charged with failure to keep right. Deputies were called to a three-vehicle crash Monday at 9:08 p.m. It was learned Beckes lost control of her vehicle and struck another vehicle in the oncoming lane. A third vehicle was unable to avoid the collision and struck one of the vehicles. Beckes, along with two passengers from another vehicle, were transported to Westfield Memorial Hospital to be treated fro minor injuries. Westfield and Ripley firefighters responded to the scene.
