CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ ELLERY — Robert W. Strang III, 47, of Westfield was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Strang was charged following an incident that took place Jan. 14 in Ellery in which he allegedly violated an order of protection issued by Chautauqua County Family Court. He was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge at a later date.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — Julie M. Knowles, 47, of French Creek was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. Deputies responded to a physical altercation on Rt. 474 at approximately 12:04 a.m. Sunday. After observing a vehicle that was allegedly involved in the incident, deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Knowles. An investigation revealed her to be intoxicated. She physically resisted arrest and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. She was held at Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned.

¯ ELLERY — Sheila R. Anderson, 38, of Bemus Point was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies responded to reports of a child left alone at an Ellery residence. An investigation revealed that Anderson left her child under the age of 2 years old unattended for at least an hour and a half. She was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ FALCONER — Joshua Cook, 29, of Kennedy was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and false personation. Officers checked a suspicious male in Falconer around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday. The person provided police with a false name. He was later identified as Cook, who was found to have an arrest warrant. During a search, Cook was found in possession of metal knuckles and a quantity of methamphetamine. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ LAKEWOOD — Heriberto Marrero, 50, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. He was arrested by officers at approximately 4:15 p.m. Jan. 14. It is alleged that Marrero stole deer warning accessories for a vehicle, automotive light bulbs and two phone cases, totaling $49.77. Marrero was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Joshua R. M. Warrior, 30, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, four counts of second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Officers responded to an address on Newland Avenue at approximately 3:25 p.m. Friday for a past domestic incident. Further investigation revealed that Warrior allegedly entered the home of the female victim without her permission and violated four orders of protection while there. Officers were able to locate Warrior nearby at a Hazzard Street address. He was taken into custody and transported to city jail, where he is being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.

¯ Kylie M. Reeves, 25, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle on Cole Avenue, which led to an investigation at approximately 9:48 a.m. Monday. Reeves was found to be in possession of quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, Suboxone and various pills. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to city jail. Reeves is currently awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ David W. Dean, 37, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers were called to the area of Jewel Place and Cole Avenue around 12:40 p.m. Monday to check on the well-being of a male in a vehicle. When they arrived, Dean was found to be sleeping inside. He exited the vehicle as contents, including marijuana and methamphetamine, fell from his person. Dean was arrested and transported to city jail. He is being held pending arraignment.

¯ John M. Harrington, 46, of Ennis, Texas was charged with being a fugitive from justice, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and not wearing a seat belt. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at E. Second Street for a traffic infraction at approximately 4:15 p.m. Monday. Harrington was identified as the operator and was found to be operating the vehicle with a revoked drivers license and while in an intoxicated condition. He was found to have active warrants out of Texas for violation of parole. Harrington was taken into custody and is being held in city jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ WESTFIELD — Mathew C. Chelton, 46, of Westfield was charged with second-degree harassment and resisting arrest. On Jan. 12, Westfield Police answered a call from a concerned citizen about a male subject in her backyard. Officers located a suspect matching the description walking on Jefferson Street. When approached, Chelton allegedly began pushing an investigating officer. After the altercation, Chelton was taken to the ground and arrested. He was taken to the county jail holding center pending arraignment.

¯ WESTFIELD — Emeleerose T. Mason, 20, of Dewittville was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. On Jan. 14, Westfield Police answered a call from a resident at 7959 McKinley Rd. about a suspicious motor vehicle in the driveway of the residence. The car was reportedly beeping its horn and had been there for a long time. When officers arrived and approached the vehicle, two female occupants were allegedly observed trying to conceal items within the car. During a search of the vehicle, two bags of methamphetamine, a Suboxone pill and a scale were found. Mason, the driver, was arrested and issued appearance tickets to appear in Westfield Village Court at a later date.

¯ WESTFIELD — Robert W. Strang, 41, of Westfield was charged with criminal mischief, harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Officers arrested Strang at approximately 3:15 p.m. Jan. 14 after an investigation of a domestic dispute that occurred Jan. 9. Strang had allegedly been involved in an altercation at his residence with a female victim. He allegedly pushed the victim to the floor, choked her and dragged her across the floor by her hair. He also allegedly took her phone and damaged it. Strang will appear in Westfield Village Court at a later date.
