WARREN, Pa. — Police in Pennsylvania remain tight-lipped following a stabbing early Saturday in Warren County.

No names or further information has been released after a man accused of stabbing another following an altercation in Sugar Grove, Pa., was taken into custody in Busti. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said it isn’t holding the man found by police shortly after the stabbing took place, and Pennsylvania State Police said it had no additional information — including the names of those involved — to provide late Sunday.

What is known is that a man was listed in serious condition in an Erie, Pa., hospital after the stabbing around 2 a.m. in Sugar Grove. The suspect fled the area after the incident, but was later arrested near Hoag Road in Busti.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to assist Pennsylvania State Police; a K-9 unit helped locate the knife purportedly used in the stabbing.

The Sheriff’s Office said charges were pending, though none have been announced.

The status of the man stabbed also wasn’t known.
