CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ PORTLAND — Christopher M. Harding, 34, of Brocton was charged with driving while intoxicated, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, failure to maintain lane and having an uninspected motor vehicle. Deputies responded to State Route 380 in the Town of Portland for a report of a vehicle driving all over the roadway. Deputies located and stopped the vehicle after observing multiple traffic violations at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Upon an investigation, Harding was discovered to have been operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. He was also found to be in possession of a small quantity of narcotics. Harding was released with tickets and is scheduled to appear in Portland Town Court at a later date.

¯ CARROLL — Coty W. Schauers, 22, of Frewsburg was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies checked on a suspicious situation in the Town of Carroll Kwik Fill parking lot at approximately 11:17 p.m. Sunday. Further investigation revealed Schauers was in possession of quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail on pre-arraignment bail and will answer to charges at Carroll Town Court at a later date.

¯ NORTH HARMONY — Zachary J. Hermann, 25, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and not having adequate tail lights. Deputies responded to I-86 East in the Town of North Harmony for a report of a vehicle operating erratically at approximately 9:59 p.m. Monday. After locating the vehicle, deputies observed it to have less than two functioning tail lights. The vehicle was stopped, and Hermann was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. He was released with traffic tickets and will appear in North Harmony Town Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Roberto F. Figueredo, 66, of Jamestown was charged with trespassing. Officers responded to 26 Maple St. for a male suspect, who was said to be trespassing on UPMC Chautauqua’s grounds. After speaking with hospital security staff, officers learned a suspect, who was told to leave the hospital grounds by security, was seen in the parking lot pulling on a vehicle’s door handle. Figueredo was taken into custody without incident and was transported to city jail pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ LAKEWOOD –Victoria N. Rosier, 23, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. At approximately 2:18 p.m. Wednesday, it is alleged that Rosier stole $82.97 of cosmetics from the Lakewood Walmart. She was issued an appearance ticket for Busti Town Court later.
