CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ BROCTON — Randy J. Noftsker, 28, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded Aug. 16 to a reported disturbance in the village of Brocton. An investigation found that Noftsker allegedly damaged property that did not belong to him. It is also alleged that Noftsker threw a vase at another person but missed. Noftsker was taken into custody and arraigned in Westfield Town Court. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

¯ FREWSBURG — Brittany Norris, 26, was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Brian Jones, 34, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation and second-degree harassment. Troopers responded Monday to a residence in Frewsburg for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation found that during an argument, Jones pushed and choked Norris, at which time she threw a glass bowl at Jones. The bowl shattered, and shards of glass remained in Jones’ foot. Both were treated at UPMC Chautauqua for injuries and later taken into custody. They were processed at police barracks and released with appearance tickets to be in Carroll Town Court at a later date.

¯ PANAMA — Brigit Drake, 37, of Panama was charged with theft of service. Troopers responded to a residence in Panama on Tuesday for a complaint of theft of electricity. An investigation found that a wire had been connected from a neighbor’s electric box to Drake’s electric box. After verifying with National Grid that Drake does not currently have service, she was charged. She is scheduled to appear in Harmony Town Court next month.

CARROLL POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ FREWSBURG — Elizabeth A. Sorvelli, 45, of Russell, Pa., was charged with felony driving while intoxicated due to a past conviction, operating without an interlock device, refusal to take breath test, driving left of pavement markings and driving right of fog line. Carroll police received a complaint around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday from Kwik Fill on West Main Street of a possible intoxicated driver that had left the gas station. Officers stopped Sorvelli as she entered Kiantone and was later found to be intoxicated. She was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. Sorvelli is scheduled to appear in Carroll Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ LITTLE VALLEY — Louis S. Delmonte Jr. of Silver Creek was charged with petit larceny. Sheriff’s deputies reported that Delmonte went into Dollar General in Little Valley on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. and took a leather belt. He left the store without paying and was later taken into custody. He was processed and released to appear in Little Valley Town Court at a later date.

¯ CONEWANGO — Desirea Wienke, 28, of Conewango was charged Wednesday with criminal possession of a controlled substance. A search warrant was executed following a drug investigation by the Olean office of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. The search took place on May 8 at which time packaged methamphetamine and stolen property were located. Wienke was processed and released to appear in Conewango Town Court at a later date.

¯ WARREN, Pa. — Aaron Albaugh, 34, of Warren was charged with drug possession. Albaugh was stopped Thursday at 12:11 a.m. on Hickory Street at Fourth Avenue in the city of Warren, Pa., for a traffic violation and reportedly found with a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed in district court.
