Area Police Reports


¯ CHERRY CREEK — Terrence Musall, 32, of Cherry Creek, was charged Sunday with first-degree criminal contempt. Troopers and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Cherry Creek residence for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival they found Musall and another person inside. The home owner was contacted and declined to press charges, but after confirming Musall’s identity, he was charged because there was an active stay-away order of protection directing him to avoid all contact with his accomplice. Musall was taken to State Police at Fredonia barracks, processed, arraigned in Charlotte Town Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ Katherine Ruszala, 49, of Frewsburg was charged Saturday with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers were at a Frewsburg home investigating a domestic incident when Ruszala allegedly arrived by vehicle while intoxicated, causing a disturbance. Troopers report Ruszala was charged after failing several field sobriety tests. She was taken to the State Police at Jamestown barracks, where she reportedly provided a breath sample of .18 percent. Ruszala was processed to be in Carroll Town Court later.


¯ Kevin H. Brace, 60, of Jamestown was charged with moving from lane unsafely, failure to keep right and driving while abilities impaired by drugs at 6:55 p.m. Friday on Harrison Street near South Main Street. Police officers report responding to a report of an erratic driver and found the vehicle turning onto South Main Street from Harrison Street. The vehicle was reportedly seen driving south in the north lane of traffic. Brace was charged and released to be in Jamestown City Court later.

¯ Jason Dale, 38, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with second-degree criminal impersonation after he allgedely provided police with a false name during a traffic stop. Dale was found to have an active probation warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he awaits arraignment.



¯ Burdette Thomas, 52, of Warren, Pa., and Caitlin Arnold, 26, of Jamestown were both charged just before midnight Saturday following a registration check on Main Street in Frewsburg. During the stop it was discovered that Thomas, the passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of 2.5 grams of methamphetamine. He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance while Arnold was charged with operating a motor vehicle on a suspended registration, unlicensed operation and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
