JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Jeremy Gross, 36, of Delaware Ave., Jamestown was charged Monday with second-degree criminal contempt after failing to obey a court order. According to police on surveillance in the area of 339 Delaware Ave., Gross was seen exiting the residence of a subject for whom he has a court order to stay away from and then entered a vehicle. With the assistance of Lakewood-Busti police, officers conducted a vehicle stop in the town of Busti and took Gross into custody. He was charged and is currently in the city jail awaiting arrangement.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ Melinda Graham, 42, of Newton Avenue, Jamestown was charged Tuesday with felony misuse of food stamps, fourth-degree welfare fraud, fourth-degree grand larceny and two counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. It is alleged that from Jan. 1 through June 30, 2015, Graham failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services of income within her household. The unreported income allowed Graham to receive $2,281 in unentitled SNAP/Food Stamp Benefits. Graham is scheduled to appar in the City of Jamestown court at a later date. CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ Wyatt Schoenle, 44, of Versailles was arrested Monday evening on a warrant out of Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office stemming from a 2017 assault charge. Schoenle was observed walking down Versailles Road in Perrysburg before officers placed him under arrest. He was turned over to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
