JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Karen L. DeMarco, 35, of Jamestown was charged on July 18 with driving while intoxicated, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, failure to maintain lane and additional vehicle and traffic charges. At 10:40 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of 604 Palmer St. It is alleged that one of the drivers, DeMarco, was intoxicated and had struck a parked vehicle. She was taken to city jail to await arraignment. No injuries were sustained.

¯ Scott F. Wynn, 42, of Jamestown was charged on July 18 with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal impersonation and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. At 1:52 a.m., police were in the area of Jefferson and West Third streets when they observed an altercation between a male and occupants within a vehicle. As officers approached, the vehicle fled. As police attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle stopped and a man jumped out and fled. The man, later identified as Wynn, was later apprehended and allegedly gave police a false name. Wynn allegedly possessed a small baggie of narcotics and had a Parole warrant. Wynn was taken to city jail to await arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ CHERRY CREEK — Arthur A. Hubbard, 27, of Cherry Creek was charged on July 18 with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. At 9:55 a.m., deputies served an arrest warrant on Hubbard at an address on Southside Avenue in Cherry Creek. Hubbard reportedly had an active arrest warrant for forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child out of Silver Creek Court. He was taken into custody without incident and arraigned in Silver Creek Court and committed to the county jail.

¯ HANOVER — Anthony Morales, 23, of Silver Creek was charged on July 16 with DWI, DWI per se, speed in zone, moving from lane unsafely and refusal of pre-screen breath test. At 11:55 p.m., deputies pulled over Morales for reportedly speeding and driving on the shoulder of Route 5 and 20 in Hanover. Morales was allegedly intoxicated. He was scheduled to appear in Hanover Court.

¯ ELLERY — Michael B. Turner, 23, of Lakewood was charged on July 16 with DWI, DWI per se, failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely. At 2:01 a.m., deputies pulled over Turner for lane violations on Route 430 in Ellery. He was allegedly intoxicated. He was scheduled to appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

¯ SINCLAIRVILLE — Shawn A. Cavender, 47, of Cassadaga was charged on July 17 with DWI, aggravated DWI per se, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to use designated lane and failure to keep right. At 5 p.m., deputies pulled over Cavender for allegedly driving erratically on Hall Road in Charlotte. It is alleged that he was intoxicated and had a prior conviction within the past 10 years. He was arraigned in Stockton Court and remanded to the county jail without bail.

¯ HANOVER — Justin T. Petit, 46, of Depew was charged on July 15 with failure to stop at a stop sign, DWI and DWI per se. At 12:48 a.m., deputies pulled over Petit on Iola Drive in Hanover for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign. It is alleged that Petit was intoxicated. He was scheduled to appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
