Part Of Downtown Facade Falls To Ground

The Jamestown Department of Development was called Monday after bricks from the Hotel Jamestown building on West Third Street downtown fell to the ground.

No one was injured, and there didn’t appear to be any damage on the ground, when part of the facade from the west side of the building came down.

Members of the Jamestown Police and Fire departments quickly cordoned off the area, blocking West Third from Washington and Cherry streets. Several residents who gathered outside the building afterward described hearing a loud crashing sound.
