Jamestown firefighters were called to an auto dealership late Saturday for a report of smoke coming from the roof of one of the buildings.

Passersby spotted the smoke shortly before 11 p.m. and called 911.

Crews arrived to find smoke in the area of the Dave Warren dealership at 1001 Washington St. After investigating, a small fire was located in the attic area of one of the buildings.

A portion of Washington Street was closed to traffic due to a hose line across the road.

Additional firefighters were called in, and officers with the Jamestown Police Department assisted.

The cause of the fire wasn’t available late Saturday.
