Several people were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at a Crossman Street home Friday afternoon. A man reportedly wanted on a felony charge also was taken into custody in an unrelated incident nearby.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department, city SWAT Team, New York State Police and U.S. Postal Inspector Service converged on 9 Crossman St. in the city Friday afternoon. At least three people were taken into custody as a result of the search, Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department said.

Details of the search were not made public by press time.

While officers were processing the Crossman St. home, a man known to be wanted on a felony charge was spotted. The man, who was not identified Friday by police, reportedly ran into a home at 202 Prendergast Ave. before he was seen with police being led away in handcuffs.

Information regarding the search and subsequent arrests is expected to be released today.
