Drug Sweep Uncovers Meth At Forest Avenue Home, Three Charged

Three Jamestown residents were awaiting arraignment after methamphetamine was discovered during an early morning sweep Friday by the city SWAT team.

The charges were the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and State Police after it was discovered crystal methamphetamine was allegedly being sold from a Forest Avenue residence.

After obtaining a search warrant, SWAT team members entered the 238 Forest Ave. property around 6 a.m. Friday, Jamestown police said in announcing three separate sweeps that netted drugs, guns and cash elsewhere as well.

Police found meth, drug paraphernalia and cash during a search of the Forest Avenue home.

Christine L. Dean, 44; Scott E. Verrett, 58; and Dawn E. Dean, 61, were all taken into custody and held.

Christine Dean was charged with drug possession charges as well as two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Verrett and Dawn Dean were both charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or disabled person.
