City Man Charged In Relation With Two Arson Fires

Jamestown police have charged a city man with arson, alleging he started two city properties in which he was living on fire.

David M. Wright, 31, of Jamestown has been charged with two counts of second-degree arson and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. Police allege Wright set a fire at 24 Phillips St. on Jan. 19 and at 12 Mt. Vernon Place on Nov. 6. Police say Wright lived in both locations at the time of the fires and that he allegedly intentionally set both fires.

Wright was arraigned in Jamestown City Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
