The driver of a garbage truck was taken to UPMC Chautauqua WCA hospital to be checked out after a rollover crash Tuesday in the town of Gerry. The crash took place shortly after 3 p.m. on Kimball Stand Road near Route 60. Fire officials weren’t sure what caused the Casella garbage truck to roll onto its side. The area was closed to traffic for about two hours as the vehicle was lifted off its side. No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
