CHERRY CREEK — A 25-year-old man was killed when the all-terrain vehicle he was on rolled over early Tuesday.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies, along with Cherry Creek volunteer firefighters and county EMS, were called to Main Street in the village for an ATV crash with serious injuries around 12:15 a.m.

The man, later identified as Cherry Creek resident Shayne C. Matteson, had been traveling north on Main Street when the ATV he was on rolled over. Matteson was pronounced dead at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
