Hundreds of boxes of food were distributed to the community Saturday at Healing Word Ministries Church of God, 1006 W. Third St., Jamestown. The food is made available through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farmer to Families program. On Saturday, members of the Jamestown Police Department again assisted, along with Chautauqua County Sheriff James Quattrone, County Executive PJ Wendel and volunteers from UPMC Chautauqua Chemical Dependency Residential Unit. Food will again be handed out first come, first serve Saturday at the Jamestown church.
