Benefit To Aid Ellington Resident Battling Cancer

ELLINGTON — A chicken barbecue benefit for longtime Ellington resident Debbie (Brown) Rexford, who has been battling cancer for 10 years, will be held at the Ellington Fire Hall on May 16 from 1-4 p.m.

The fire hall is located at 769 W. Main St. in Ellington.

Dinners include barbecued chicken, potato or macaroni salad, applesauce, a roll and a cookie. Adult dinners are $12, children’s dinners are $7, and chicken only is $7.

The dinner is take-out only, and must be pre-ordered by May 7 by calling or texting Jennifer Gagnon at 450-0030.

Those desiring to make a monetary donation toward the dinners’ expenses, to contribute food items or to donate a basket for the Chinese auction, may contact Jennifer Gagnon at the number above.
