Pa. Man Charged After Vehicle Pursuit

A Pennsylvania man is facing a host of charges after a vehicle pursuit that began in Chautauqua County.

Sheriff’s deputies said they attempted to stop a vehicle Tuesday around 2:09 a.m. for speeding on Mann Road in the town of Mina.

The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Brett M. Bisbee of North East, Pa., increased his speed in an attempt to elude police.

The pursuit continued into the town of Ripley and eventually Pennsylvania. Troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police and North East police were then notified.

Bisbee led officers to a driveway on Side Hill Road in North East Township where he fled on foot.

K-9 Link was deployed and led officers to a building where Bisbee was located. The North East man was taken into custody without incident by the Pennsylvania State Police.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bisbee is facing charges in New York of speeding, failure to keep right, failure to comply, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation, operation of a vehicle without an interlock device, stop sign violations, improper registration, unregistered vehicle, uninspected vehicle and no insurance.

In Pennsylvania, Bisbee is facing charges of driving under the influence, felony fleeing a police officer, driving while suspended, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple vehicle violations.

He was scheduled to be arraigned in Pennsylvania on charges there, with further charges in New York to be filed later, the Sheriff’s Office said.
