FORECON, Inc., a professional consulting forestry firm, recently celebrated its 65th year in business.

FORECON has provided forestry and natural resource management services to private, industrial, municipal and governmental forest landowners since Curt Bauer started the business in 1954 in Jamestown.

Since then, FORECON has grown in technological and scientific expertise, as well as geographically, now serving landowners out of its five offices in New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Headquartered in Falconer, the company employs 45 full-time staff as well as 15 seasonal employees during the busy summer months.

Offering sound and sustainable forest management advice, FORECON provides a variety of services which include timber sales, timber management planning, timber and timberland appraising, GIS/Mapping, forest pest suppression and real estate sales (Timberland Realty) services (among many others).
