CHERRY CREEK — The Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. has announced the creation of a farmers market to be held each Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. beginning this week.

The market will be held on the shaded side lawn next to the Cherry Creek United Methodist Church, located at 6813 Main St. in the hamlet.

Chaired by Jennie Westlake, the market will feature farm and garden fresh produce as it comes into season, as well as crafted items from local artisans.

“The crafts are a great addition, but we’re really hoping for a wide variety of produce for folks to shop from,” Westlake said. “We are also hoping our Amish friends from the local community will come and bring their produce, homemade baked goods and crafted items.”

There are no fees or charges to participate in the market. Vendors are reminded to bring their own tables and setup equipment. For more information, call Westlake at 725-7607.
