Driver Charged In Hit-And-Run Involving Motorcycle

FREWSBURG — A woman has been charged after a motorcyclist was struck near Frewsburg last week. The name of the woman was not released Tuesday by the Carroll Police Department. However, police said the driver came to the department to report the incident that took place June 25 at the intersection of Route 62 and Ivory Road.

The vehicle — a 2011 GMC Yukon — reportedly turned into the path of a motorcycle. The operator, by Paul M. Fardink, suffered minor abrasions and an ankle injury but did not require medical attention at the scene.

The woman told officers she was unaware she had struck the motorcycle; she also said her GMC did not appear to sustain any damage.

The driver is facing charges of improper left turn and leaving the scene of an incident. She is scheduled to appear in Carroll Town Court at a later date.

“Carroll PD will not be releasing the driver’s name,” the department said in a press release.
