Ring Elementary School third-graders on Tuesday performed the “Life Cycles” educational musical from Bad Wolf Press. Kim Austin, Ring third grade teacher, said the musical is used as a tool to review lessons learned throughout the school year. The musical reviews plant and animal life cycles, the connection among predator and prey and curriculum focused on habitat. Dressed as plants and butterflies, among other costumes, Austin believes the musical performance is a much more “impactful” learning mechanism for review of class topics. Along with Austin and music teacher Kristen Brunacini, third grade teachers Krista Boardman, Sue Atkins, Lisa Beckerink and Beth Johnson coordinated the program.
