Investigation Leaves Two Facing Drug Sale Charges

SILVER CREEK — Two Silver Creek residents face drug sales charges after a search warrant was executed at their 276.5 Central Ave., Silver Creek, property at 11 a.m. Thursday.

According to a police report, members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, New York State Police and the Evans Police Department have been investigating the sale and distribution of crack cocaine in the Silver Creek area.

The investigation led to a search warrant being issued for 276.5 Central Ave., Silver Creek, as well as arrest warrants for Keith S. Cooley, 21, and Rebecca J. Gard, 20.

Cooley and Gard were inside the property when the search warrant was executed; both were charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

A search of the residence resulted in a seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a quantity of U.S. currency.

Both Cooley and Gard were taken to the Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment. Additional charges are pending. Both will be in Silver Creek Village Court later.
