JPD Looking For Vehicle Involved In Incident

Jamestown police are looking for a vehicle and its driver involved in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred at 9:15 p.m. in the crosswalk in front of UPMC Chautauqua hospital at 207 Foote Ave. A woman who was struck was treated at the hospital and later transported to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., where she remains with leg injuries, the family said.

Jamestown police released surveillance photos showing the SUV reportedly involved in the hit-and-run. The vehicle, JPD said, likely has damage to its front left corner and hood.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Jamestown Police Department at 483-7541 or the anonymous tips line at 483-8477. Information can also be left through the Tips 411 app. All tips are kept confidential.
