PINE GROVE, Pa. — No one was injured after an SUV ended up in Conewango Creek in Warren County following a crash early Monday.

The Pennsylvania State Police said a southbound Chevy Equinox, driven by 24-year-old Samantha Graham of Youngsville, Pa., began sliding on ice on Big Four Road in Pine Grove Township around 1:40 a.m. The SUV struck a tree, slid backward over an embankment and into the water.

Graham and a passenger, 19-year-old Jaylea Walters of Warren, Pa., were able to escape the SUV and made it to the embankment.

The vehicle became fully submerged in the water. It was recovered Monday afternoon with the help of Glade volunteer firefighters and Koebley Towing.
