On Friday at Washington Middle School, the Jamestown Police Department and the Emmanuel Baptist Church youth group held the fourth benefit basketball game to support the group. Above, a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church youth group basketball team makes a three point shot. “It helps serves as a bridge to youth and police in our community,” youth director Sue Blake said. Along with her husband Keith the two have been hosting the youth group at the church for 33 years. Some of the youth have been active participants since it began. “We have students who were four when they started and their eight now,” Sue Blake said. In this years game, 15 officers and 40 youth took part. Multiple officers also offered donations to the youth group.
