Randolph Students Contribute To Holiday Activities
RANDOLPH — Students from the Gail N. Chapman Elementary School have been busy this holiday season with many community service projects. The fourth-graders have been collecting new hats, mittens and socks for the Community Cupboard this month.
The items sent to the school filled two large boxes that will help keep many children in the area warm this winter.
The sixth-grade students ran a non-perishable food drive during December and collected over 450 items to help benefit the Community Cupboard. Many staff members from the elementary school adopted an angel tag from the Angel Tree at the Cattaraugus County Bank. Many presents have been donated to help area children have a wonderful Christmas this year. On Dec. 14, students at the elementary school enjoyed a Pajama Day.
They brought in a donation of a quarter to wear their favorite pair of pajamas to school, and we were able to raise $247.29 to help benefit the Community Cupboard. The generosity of the Randolph community is greatly appreciated.
