Stabbing Suspect At Large

A suspect was being sought after a man was stabbed Tuesday afternoon in Jamestown.

The man, who was not identified, was reportedly stabbed in the area of Baker Park near West Fourth Street in the city.

According to Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department, the stabbing was the result of a prior altercation. He said police were looking for a known suspect involved in the incident.

The stabbing victim was taken to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. The severity of his injuries wasn’t immediately known.

More information was expected to be released Wednesday.
