Opening Round Results For ‘Talent’ Announced
With the Week One results of this year’s Chautauqua’s Got Talent” competition at The Spire Theater too close to call on a number of fronts, producers have opted to eliminate only two contestants.
Those contestants to be eliminated from competition are Mia Raj and Mark Bailey, narrowing the contestant pool advancing into Week Two to 20. Attendees of the ninth annual talent competition’s opening night Monday were asked to vote for their Top 10 choices of the 22 acts that showcased an array of talents including singing, various dance styles, and performances on guitars, keyboards, ukuleles and an electronic drum set.
Angelo Giuffre, co-producer, said more eliminations after Week One were intended, but the votes received made it difficult to determine which contestants would be going home.
“We decided to only send to home two (contestants) because the next six were very close and or tied,” he said.
Advancing to next week’s competition will be Jackie Beilata, Ryanne Smith, Olivia Gren, Jayla Brock, Brandon Frederick Callender, Avryiana Atwater, Leisha Arthurs, Devin Bielata, Jubal Samuelson, Mia Rowe, Karle Christoph, Kayle Dean, Angel Rodriguez, Ayrianna Brady, Jillian VanHouten, Miranda Wilcox, Yadilex Mareara, Dylan Carlson, Amanda Forbes and Jeana Wolf.
There are four remaining rounds of competition, which will be held each Monday at 7 p.m. through April 2.
