Benefit To Be Held At Falconer Fire Department

Wendy Wickstrom DelValle has long given service to the village of Falconer and its fire department. But now, in her time of need, the Falconer community is ready to give back.

Last year, DelValle was diagnosed with brain cancer and is now undergoing treatment. To help with the cost of medical bills and treatments, a benefit will be held July 23, from noon-6 p.m., at the Falconer Fire Department.

A $5 donation at the door will include a picnic meal. There will also be music and a 50/50 raffle, as well as a bake sale and many baskets and gift card prizes, including a television, diamond earrings and a lap quilt among others.

If you would like to help out or donate, you can contact Darcy Cramer at 640-7514, Rosie Digirolamo at 499-4161, Tammy Yager at 665-9706 or Beth Armstrong at 450-3668.

DelValle has worked at CVS and Burger King in Falconer. Her entire family has been connected with the Falconer area and the fire department for years. Not only is she a member of the department’s auxiliary, but so too is her mother. Her grandfather was fire chief and her father was a member for over 25 years.
