Brocton Woman Charged After Parked Van Hits Man
BROCTON — An accident with a parked vehicle that seriously injured a male individual in the village Thursday has led to charges.
New York State Police report Victoria L. Wood, 35, of Brocton, was traveling south on Lake Avenue and exited the road and struck struck parked van in the driveway of 33 Lake Ave. The collision with the van caused it to strike the male owner who was standing outside the driver-side door.
The male sustained multiple head and facial injuries and was transported by STAT helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., where he was listed in stable condition.
Wood was taken into custody and charged with second-degree vehicular assault, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and other vehicle and traffic violations.
