City Man Charged After Threatening Stranger With Knife
A 28-year-old Jamestown man who reportedly threatened a stranger with a knife while walking down the street this week is facing charges.
Richard N. Dehart was being held for court following Monday’s incident that occurred around 9 p.m. on West Fourth Street.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded to a report of a person with a weapon. An investigation found that Dehart “approached a stranger walking down the street and threatened him with a knife.”
The city man was transported to Jamestown City Jail, the department said in a news release. He is facing charges of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
