Search Of Celoron Home Turns Up Drugs, Cash

CELORON — An investigation into the “sales and possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl” led to the arrest of a Celoron man, the Ellicott Police Department announced.

Zaid Mendoza, 43, was being processed on charges that include third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

A search warrant was executed Friday at Mendoza’s 150 Boulevard Ave. residence in Celoron with the assistance of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, Ellicott Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

In a news release, Ellicott police said Mendoza was located inside the residence along with a “quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cash and several large capacity ammunition feeding devices.” The Celoron man was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

Ryan T. Boyles, 42, who also was found inside the residence, is facing a seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance charge. He was processed at the Ellicott Police Department and released with an appearance ticket.
