Weapons Charge Levied Against Niagara Falls Man

CASSADAGA — A Niagara Falls man is facing charges after being found in possession of a handgun.

State Police in Jamestown charged Shane Jordon, 47, with criminal possession of a firearm. Troopers pulled over Jordon on Route 60 for a traffic violation on Friday and while speaking to Jordon, the troopers observed a handgun in Jordon’s vehicle plain view.

Further investigation revealed that Jordon didn’t have a New York State Pistol permit. Jordon was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed.

Jordon was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Stockton Court on a later date.
