24 New COVID-19 Cases Reported

The Chautauqua County Department of Health reported 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

Over the weekend, including Monday, 54 new cases were reported, with 16 coming from Jamestown, two in Sherman, six in Fredonia, three in Silver Creek, two in Dewittville, two in Frewsburg, four in Bemus Point, four in Dunkirk, three in Mayville, two in Westfield, two in Ripley, two in Brocton, two in Lakewood and one each in Falconer, Stockton, Clymer and Greenhurst.

There remains 147 active cases for those who continue to recover under orders from local health officials.

In addition, seven people with COVID-19 were hospitalized, an increase from the five reported over the weekend by the county Health Department. There were also 1,186 recoveries, 15 deaths and 1,348 total confirmed cases.
