Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties are under a winter weather advisory from 7 p.m. this evening to 10 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.

The area could see between 3 to 5 inches of additional snow.

The greatest accumulation will be across the higher terrain of the Chautauqua Ridge and western and central portions of Cattaraugus County, the weather service said.

“Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibility in lake effect snow bands,” the weather service said.
