FREDONIA — Police on Monday announced an arrest in the stabbing of a female after a domestic incident on 16 Wisteria Drive in Fredonia.

Leon R. Lidlow, 35, was charged on an arrest warrant with second-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The incident occurred after 6 on Friday morning. When officers arrived, they found a woman with apparent wounds. The victim was treated by Fredonia Fire & Rescue personnel and transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.

The residence was secured for the subsequent investigation by the Fredonia Police Department and an evidence tech was called to the scene. Once the investigation concluded, an arrest warrant was obtained from village Justice David Prince for Lidlow.

Lidlow, after being picked up by Fredonia police, was then taken to Centralized Arraignment in Mayville and released on $50,000 cash or $100,000 property bail to the supervision of probation with an order of protection issued for the victim.
