Water customers in the village of Brocton and town of Portland are being asked to restrict water usage until Thursday at 4 p.m. following a “major water main leak.”

“No outdoor water usage is allowed this includes water lawn and garden, washing cars and filling pools,” an alert issued Wednesday said. “Please limit indoor use if possible. An update will be sent as available.”
