Two Jamestown residents were jailed after an assault investigation led to the discovery of a sawed-off shotgun and a “large quantity” of methamphetamine.

Jacob R. Graham, 18, and Tyler N. Tedesco, 23, were taken into custody Tuesday after detectives with the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force observed the pair “assaulting an individual.”

The pair got into a vehicle and drove away before being stopped by patrol officers on Lincoln Street around 1:25 p.m..

A search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine and the shotgun. The gun was found to be stolen from Ohio, Jamestown police said in a press release.

Tedesco was charged with disorderly conduct. Graham was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both were transported to Jamestown City Jail.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
