(4:10 PM) Drugs, Kids Found During Search Of City Home

Antonio Sanders

Crack cocaine and powder cocaine were found and a Jamestown man was jailed following a search of a city home Tuesday.

Charged was 29-year-old Antonio A. Sanders Jr. after members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force received information that crack cocaine was being sold from 162 McKinley Ave. A warrant was obtained, and task force members with the help of the New York State Community Narcotics Enforcement Team searched the residence at about 8:45 a.m.

Inside, officers reported finding cocaine and packaging materials “for the sales and distribution of illegal drugs,” Jamestown police said in a press release.

In addition, authorities also found three small children in the home.

Sanders was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, third- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

Anyone with information regarding the illegal sales of narcotics is asked to call the task force at 483-Tips (8477) or via the Tips 411 cellphone app. All tips are kept confidential.
