(9:15 AM) City Man Charged After Drugs Found Stuffed In Pants
A Jamestown man who police say had drugs stuffed down his pants is facing several charges following a traffic stop.
Officers stopped a vehicle Thursday around 5:40 a.m. that had been traveling southbound on North Main Street without headlights. After stopping the vehicle, officers learned a passenger — 24-year-old Robert T. Comber — had bench warrants out of Jamestown City Court and Chautauqua County Court.
During a search Comber was allegedly found in possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin stuffed in his pants, the Jamestown Police Department said in a press release. The city man was also found with multiple bags containing heroin packaged to sell and a digital scale “for weighing narcotic drugs,” JPD said.
Comber was taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident and held for arraignment.
