RANDOLPH — Three youths are facing charges after a stolen school bus from the Randolph Central School District was recovered in Jamestown.

The three were charged with two counts each of third-degree burglary, second-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office on Monday was called to investigate break-ins at Randolph Central School as well as the Randolph School bus garage “where one of the Randolph school buses was stolen over night and recovered this morning in the City of Jamestown,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

“It was learned through the investigation that three juveniles had run away from the Randolph Children’s Home and broke into the school facilities,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

All three were taken into custody without incident.

A 17 year old male was arraigned and is being held in the Cattaraugus County Jail on $5,000 bail, and a 16 year old male and 14 year old female were remanded to the East Ferry detention facility with later court appearances.
