(4:05) Pair Charged After Marijuana Found In Vehicle Near JCC

Two people were facing charges after marijuana was discovered in a vehicle near the Jamestown Community College campus.

The director of campus security at JCC notified the Jamestown Police Department on Wednesday of a suspicious vehicle on Curtis Street at College Park. The vehicle was reportedly seen on several occasions parked near JCC.

“The vehicle was occupied by multiple subjects with other vehicles pulling up to it and leaving,” Jamestown police said in a press release Thursday.

Officers responded to the area and observed the vehicle near the campus. Inside the vehicle were 23-year-old Jonathan M. Lugo-Diaz and 18-year-old Erza D. Flores. A search of the vehicle turned up 55.6 grams of marijuana.

Lugo-Diaz was charged with two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Flores was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both were transported to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.
